Your requirements first
The right service for your situation
Business owners who want a digital service but also want to know the people and practice behind it.
- Cloud records and reconciled bookkeeping
- Digital accounts and tax approvals
- VAT and payroll where agreed
- Online onboarding with a local meeting option
What near me means for an online service
Your accountant does not have to live near your registered office to prepare accounts or submit tax returns. What matters is that the practice is identifiable, authorised for the work and reachable through agreed contact routes. Our published base is Morden; we do not create virtual office claims for every area served.
If you occasionally want a face-to-face discussion, book an office appointment. If your business is elsewhere, the same engagement can be delivered online without travel. This page helps you evaluate that delivery model; the generic finder remains the place to browse local areas.
A bank feed is not a finished set of accounts
Cloud software can import transactions, capture receipts and speed up approvals. It still needs reconciliations, correct coding and review of outstanding balances. A payment-processor payout, for example, may combine sales, fees and refunds that need separate treatment.
Agree which system is the accounting record and who keeps it complete. Xero, QuickBooks or another appropriate product should be chosen for bank feeds, sales channels, currencies and filing needs. Licence costs and migration work are included only when the written scope says so.
How records, queries and approval move online
After engagement, we agree how records and authorisations will be supplied. Use the designated secure onboarding process for identity documents, authentication codes and source records. Do not send passwords through a public enquiry or grant access beyond what is needed.
We raise queries before finalising figures and provide drafts for approval. A director must review the accounts and confirm approval before submission. The order receipt is not the filing acknowledgement; the accepted submission is a separate stage.
Online does not mean unlimited or instant
The service timetable depends on receiving complete records, resolving questions and obtaining approval. A digital upload does not turn incomplete bookkeeping into a same-day compliant return. Flag a close deadline before ordering so feasibility can be assessed.
Agree how questions are handled and what requires a separate fee. Routine compliance, bookkeeping and specialist planning are different tasks. No online service should promise unlimited tax advice, guaranteed savings or a deadline outcome before checking the facts.
2026 digital filing changes: check the actual obligation
HMRC’s joint online accounts and Company Tax Return service closed on 31 March 2026; suitable commercial software is now needed for Company Tax Returns. This is distinct from the wider Companies House accounts reforms announced for April 2028.
Sole traders and landlords entering Making Tax Digital for Income Tax from April 2026 need compatible digital records and quarterly updates under the relevant rules. A company bookkeeping subscription is not automatically an MTD personal-tax engagement; choose the correct taxpayer and service.
Compare one-off orders with ongoing accountancy
Published limited-company packages start at £45.83 plus VAT per month. Your turnover, chosen services and periods determine the applicable order or proposal. Personal returns, property work and technical advice have their own scope; the company starting fee is not a universal tax-advice price.
For a standard company with maintained records, one-off Year End Accounts + CT600 start from £450.40 plus VAT in the lowest turnover band. Ongoing packages cover their selected recurring services instead. Use the order or proposal to confirm periods, VAT and any separately charged statutory fees.
