A limited company accountant in London prepares your annual accounts, files your CT600 corporation tax return, handles VAT and payroll, and files your confirmation statement and director Self Assessment. Our fixed London packages run from £45.83 to £75.00 plus VAT a month. Monthly packages from £45.83 + VAT a month, confirmed in writing before work starts.
London has more small limited companies than anywhere else in the UK, from single director consultancies in the City to ecommerce brands, agencies and property companies across the boroughs. We act for owner managed companies all over Greater London from our office at 12 London Road, Morden, and online wherever you are based.

What a London limited company accountant actually does
Running a limited company in London means two sets of accounts rules at once: Companies House wants statutory accounts every year, and HMRC wants a CT600 corporation tax return with full statutory accounts and computations. On top of that sit VAT returns under Making Tax Digital, payroll and pension submissions if you pay yourself or staff, a confirmation statement, and your own Self Assessment as a director. Miss any of them and penalties start automatically — £150 for late company accounts, rising the later they get, and £100 for a late corporation tax return.
Our job is to take that whole cycle off your desk. We keep your bookkeeping current in the cloud, tell you what tax is coming and when, file everything before the deadline, and answer the questions that come up between filings: can I take a dividend this month, should this cost go through the company, is it time to register for VAT. You get one named accountant and a fixed monthly fee agreed in writing before work starts.
Fixed monthly fees, agreed before we start
London accountancy quotes often hide the real cost behind hourly billing and year-end extras. We work the other way: a fixed monthly package that covers the compliance cycle, quoted in writing before anything begins. Packages start at £45.83 plus VAT a month for a dormant or very small company, £62.50 plus VAT where bookkeeping and VAT returns are included, and £75.00 plus VAT where payroll for up to five employees is included. Paying annually in advance attracts a discount.
One-off work — a set of overdue accounts, a confirmation statement, a company formation — is priced separately at a fixed fee, again agreed before we start. If something falls outside the package, we tell you the price first and you decide. There are no surprise invoices.
Regulated, insured and qualified
ACCOTAX London Limited is regulated by ICAEW, with ACCA and AAT qualified staff across the team, and carries £2 million of professional indemnity insurance. That matters when you are choosing an accountant in London: anyone can call themselves an accountant, but a regulated firm is bound by professional standards, monitored for compliance and required to hold insurance that protects you if something goes wrong.
We are also a Xero Gold partner and work with QuickBooks and FreeAgent, so your bookkeeping sits in software you can see at any time, not in a system only we can access.
Deadlines we track for London companies
Company accounts are due at Companies House nine months after your financial year end. The corporation tax return is due twelve months after the period ends, but the tax itself is payable nine months and one day after — so we aim to have your figures ready well before the payment date. VAT returns are due one month and seven days after each quarter. The confirmation statement is due within fourteen days of its review date, and the Companies House fee is £50 from 1 February 2026, though it may change again.
For 2026/27 the main corporation tax rate stays at 25% for profits above £250,000, with the small profits rate at 19% up to £50,000 and marginal relief between. The dividend allowance is £500, and dividend tax rates are 10.75%, 35.75% and 39.35% depending on your band. The personal allowance stays at £12,570, and employers pay 15% National Insurance on salaries above £5,000 a year, reduced by the £10,500 Employment Allowance where your company qualifies. We plan salary and dividends around these figures each year so you do not pay more than you need to.
Online first, local when you want it
Most of our London clients never visit the office: documents arrive by secure upload or straight from Xero, QuickBooks or FreeAgent, and meetings happen by phone or video. If you prefer face to face, our office is at 12 London Road, Morden SM4 5BQ — at the southern end of the Northern line, roughly 30 minutes from Bank — with visits by appointment. We also have offices in Croydon, Chelsea and Mitcham.
Switching from another London accountant is handled for you: we write for professional clearance, collect your records and take over the HMRC and Companies House agent authorisations. There is no fee for the handover, and your filing deadlines are checked on day one so nothing is missed in the gap.

“We worked with a few different accountants before finally settling with Accotax, and we're really glad we did. They take the time to understand how our business works and what our needs are. Anum, who looks after our account on a day-to-day basis, including reconciling invoices and preparing the annual accounts, is amazing, professional, efficient, and follows the processes we have put in place together. Accotax has made our accounting experience much smoother and easier. We see them as a long-term partner as our business continues to grow. I would 100% recommend them.”

“I've been working with Accotax since January 2024, and their support has grown alongside my business needs. My personal allocated manager, Umer, provides tailored services for both of my companies, adapting as I expand and ensuring everything runs smoothly. They are responsive, knowledgeable, and always clear in their communication. Their help with accounts, VAT, payrolls, pensions and compliance gives me real confidence and peace of mind.”
“Accotax have been our accountants for many years now. We maintained them because of their professionalism. In the last couple of years I have been working with Imran, who has been very professional and helpful in guiding us through the whole process, explaining and clarifying every aspect of it. Very prompt in responding to questions and patient with us even when we seem to be slow.”
