The UK side of the comparison
Salary reduces corporation tax profit but can bring PAYE and National Insurance costs that a dividend never carries in the UK, and disregarded income can mean the dividend attracts no further UK Income Tax at all for a non-resident.
This tilts the UK-only comparison further toward dividends than it would for a resident director, though it assumes the company has sufficient distributable profit to pay them legally.
