How much does a confirmation statement cost?
A confirmation statement filed through us costs £49 + VAT, covering our review of your company's details and preparation and submission of the CS01. In addition, Companies House charges a digital filing fee of £50, which is separate from our fee and which we pass on at cost with no markup. Any Companies House fee shown is charged at today's rate; if Companies House changes it, we charge the new fee separately.
If you file it yourself directly with Companies House, you pay only the £50 government fee and no professional fee, but you take on the time and the risk of getting the details wrong, which is where a checked filing adds value.

We can only speak accurately to our own pricing and to the government fee, which is published by Companies House; where high-street accountants are shown, we haven't invented a figure, since fees vary firm to firm and are usually quoted individually.
Why does the professional fee vary between accountants?
Confirmation statement fees can vary because some firms bundle it into a wider monthly package, some charge per filing as we do, and some charge more if they also need to update your PSC register, statement of capital or SIC codes as part of the filing. Ask any firm quoting you for a confirmation statement exactly what's included in the fee before you commit.
Our £49 + VAT fee covers a standard confirmation statement where your details haven't changed materially; if you need to update your registered office, SIC codes or PSC register at the same time, we'll tell you upfront if that changes the price.
Is it worth paying for a confirmation statement when I could file it myself?
Filing it yourself is free beyond the £50 government fee, and for a straightforward company with no changes it can be quick. The value in paying a professional fee is having someone check your statement of capital, shareholder information and PSC register are correct before submission, and having someone track the deadline for you, rather than relying on a reminder email from Companies House.
If your company has multiple shareholders, share classes, or people with significant control, a quick professional check can catch errors that are otherwise easy to miss when filing directly.
Are there any hidden costs in confirmation statement filing?
No. Our £49 + VAT fee and the £50 Companies House fee are the only costs for a standard confirmation statement. If you also need us to update your registered office, add or remove a SIC code, or make more substantial changes to your PSC register, we'll agree any additional cost with you before doing the work, not after.
