Short answer
Living abroad does not change your confirmation statement duty. You must confirm that Companies House holds accurate details, including registered office, directors, PSCs and shareholdings, at least once every twelve months, and file it online from anywhere in the world.

What the statement actually confirms
Keeping the underlying details current
It is a snapshot check, not new information every time: you confirm the company's registered office, officers, PSC details, shareholding and registered email address are correct as at the review date, or update anything that has changed.
It can be filed online at any point, from any country, so a non-resident director has no practical barrier to filing on time other than remembering the deadline while managing everything else remotely.
The confirmation statement relies on other filings being up to date, so a change of director, PSC or registered office should be filed as it happens rather than saved up for the annual statement.
Many non-resident directors ask their accountant to monitor the due date and file on their behalf, which avoids the statement being missed simply because a reminder email was overlooked while travelling.

One-off filings are sold at fixed prices, and the Companies House fees we pay for you are charged at cost with no VAT added.
