Short answer

Registered office, service address and trading address

The registered office is the company's official address on the public register. Statutory post from Companies House and HMRC goes there, and it must be an address where delivery can be acknowledged. A PO box on its own is not acceptable.

A service address is the personal correspondence address of a director or person with significant control. It also appears on the public register, which is why directors who work from home usually use a service address rather than their own.

A trading address is where the business actually operates and is not a Companies House concept at all. Invoices and your website can show a trading address even though the register shows something different.

What is included

Use of our London Road, Morden address as your registered office and as a director service address, receipt of statutory mail from Companies House and HMRC, and same-day scanning to your email. Filing changes at Companies House when you switch to the address is included in the set-up.

Why an appropriate address now matters more

Companies House gained powers to query and change addresses that are not appropriate, and to strike off companies whose post cannot be delivered. Addresses that were tolerated previously, including some mail-drop arrangements, are now challenged. A supervised professional address avoids that argument entirely.

Adding mail forwarding

Scanned statutory mail is included. General business post can be forwarded physically to a UK or overseas address, or scanned in bulk, priced by volume. Tell us what you expect to receive and we will quote before anything starts.

Frequently asked

Registered office address service, from £10 a month: questions directors ask

How much is a registered office address?

From £10 a month. The exact price depends on whether you also need a service address for several directors and how much general mail you expect.

Can a non-resident use this address?

Yes. The registered office must be in the UK even when every director lives overseas, which is the most common reason clients take it.

Can I use it as my trading address?

It is a registered office and service address, not premises. We will not hold ourselves out as your place of business.

Is a PO box acceptable to Companies House?

A PO box alone does not meet the appropriate address rules because delivery cannot be acknowledged in person.

What happens to post that arrives?

Statutory post is opened, scanned and emailed to you the day it arrives. Other mail is handled under whatever forwarding option you choose.

How do I change my registered office to yours?

We file the change at Companies House for you once the service starts, usually the same working day.

What records are needed for registered office address service, from £10 a month?

Keep bank statements, sales and platform reports, purchase invoices, payroll records, VAT workings, finance agreements and Companies House correspondence. We confirm the exact list at onboarding and identify gaps before a filing deadline becomes urgent.

How much does help with registered office address service, from £10 a month cost?

The fee depends on transaction volume, record quality, VAT and payroll requirements, historic catch-up and the level of reporting needed. We agree a fixed scope and price before technical work starts, with published packages available on our fees page.

Can you take over registered office address service, from £10 a month from another accountant?

Yes. We request professional clearance, collect the prior records and authorities, check the next Companies House and HMRC deadlines, and give you one clear handover list. The process is normally completed remotely.

Can registered office address service, from £10 a month be handled online?

Yes. We work through secure cloud records, scheduled reviews and digital approvals, while keeping a named team available by phone, video call and email. Clients can also visit our Morden office by appointment.
