Short answer

A fixed fee accountant agrees a set monthly price covering defined services, such as annual accounts, corporation tax and routine support, instead of billing per hour worked. You know the cost in advance, and it only changes if the company's size or scope changes.

Fixed fee versus hourly billing

Hourly billing charges for time spent on your file, so a busy month with more queries, more transactions or a complex issue costs more than a quiet one, and the total for the year is only known once it has happened.

A fixed fee sets the price up front for an agreed scope of work, based on your company's size and complexity when you sign up. It gives budget certainty and removes the incentive to avoid picking up the phone because a call might be billed.

How our packages are structured

We offer three monthly packages, £89, £169 and £289 plus VAT, scaled to company size, transaction volume, payroll and VAT registration status, so the fee reflects the actual work involved rather than a single price for every company.

Companies House fees for filings such as incorporation or confirmation statements are charged at cost, with no VAT added, because these are third party government fees rather than our own service charge.

Before you act

Rates, thresholds and deadlines quoted here reflect the 2026/27 UK position and current Companies House and HMRC guidance. Check GOV.UK, or ask us, before relying on them for your own company.
